FALSE ALARM BILLING
What is a false alarm?
A false alarm is any alarm caused by human error or equipment problems that requires the fire department response when there is no evidence of an actual fire.
The Bensenville Fire Protection District's Alarm Ordinance defines a false alarm an alarm signal which indicates the existence of any emergency situation when in fact, no such emergency exists, and shall include any alarm signal generated by any fire protection system by whatever means.
Alarms systems were originally designed to protect lives and property. Properly installed, used, and maintained alarms are a real asset and saves companies on their insurance rates. When a system is neglected, it then becomes a liability.
