The Foreign Fire Tax Board consists of 5 trustees; the Fire Chief, who holds office by rank, and 4 members who are elected at large by the sworn members of the organization. This Board is a direct extension of the Board of Trustees who provides oversight.
The purpose of the Foreign Fire Tax Board is to spend funds through the foreign fire tax revenue that is paid by out-of-state insurance companies selling fire insurance in the State of Illinois. The funds shall be used for maintenance, use, and benefit of the community and organization.
The Foreign Fire Tax Board meets quarterly and all meetings are open to our residents of Bensenville at our main station located at 500 S. York Road, Bensenville Illinois 60106. Meeting dates are listed below, and all times are 10am.
