STOP THE BLEED PROGRAM
Thank you to The Bensenville Community Foundation and Subaru for the $10,000 Grant funds for purchasing stop the bleed adjuncts to better teach our school teachers, Village employees, and the public.
The Stop The Bleed campaign is a lifesaving skill that teaches people how to stop life threatening bleeding in an emergency. Bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death from trauma, and accounting for up to 40% of all trauma deaths. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes. It is important to stop the blood loss as quickly as possible. By taking this class, you may be able to save a life by simple actions learned.
